Facelift for the 2013 BMW 5 Series
We knew the next BMW News would be the arrival of a facelift for the 5 Series, especially after BMW accidentally previewed it with a configurator that went online too early. But now the 5 Series facelift is here, and what it lacks in real changes BMW has made up for in photos – they’ve sent us over 200 photos of the new 5 Series – Saloon, Touring and GT – maybe in the hope that a mass of photos will make us think the changes are extensive. They’re not.
MINI Avenue - an off-the-peg MINI Yours
We already know that MINI seems to launch more limited editions every year than the whole of the rest of the car industry. But now they’re going a step further with a customisation programme called ‘MINI Yours’, and an off-the-peg version called the MINI Avenue. MINI Yours is all about offering the sort of customisation offered for the original Mini in the 1960s by companies like Radford - and about making good margins on the add-ons – with a huge range of customisation stuff above and beyond what appears in the MINI Limited Editions.
Detroit Tigers pitcher Armando Galarraga may have just missed a perfect game on Wednesday night, but General Motors tried to help make up for it--with a 2010 Chevrolet Corvette convertible. Galarraga retired the first 26 Cleveland Indians batters in order on Wednesday night. The would-be final batter, Jason Donald, appeared to ground out, but umpire Jim Joyce ruled him safe in a controversial call that later that night he admitted was wrong.
